Companion & chat
Chat actions & reminders
Create tasks, reminders, and focus sessions from natural language.
Actions from conversation
WOODS extracts intent from what you type and can execute real actions:
| You say | WOODS can |
|---|---|
| “Remind me every Wednesday at 9am about coursework” | Create a recurring reminder |
| “Essay due Friday — add a task” | Create a task with deadline |
| “Start a 25-minute focus block” | Start focus mode |
| “Cancel my Wednesday reminder” | Cancel a matching reminder |
Confirm before executing
The companion proposes actions. You see confirmation when something was created — tasks, reminders, or focus sessions. You stay in control; WOODS does not silently change your schedule.
Reminders
Reminders live in your WOODS account and can trigger browser notifications when you allow them. An hourly job on the server fires due reminders so they arrive on time even if you closed the tab.
Focus from chat
Phrases like “focus mode”, “pomodoro”, or “start focus” launch a timed session. See Focus sessions for timer lengths and blocking.
