Dashboard & planning

Dashboard & suggestions

Morning context, companion chips, and proactive nudges.

Your home screen

The dashboard is designed to answer one question: what should I do next?

It combines:

  • Greeting bar — Time-aware hello and week summary
  • Companion rail — Proactive card with companion message and quick actions
  • Suggestion chips — Upload syllabus, start focus, check in, review modules
  • Task list — Priorities with deadlines
  • Calendar widget — Upcoming events when integrated
  • Email insights — Deadlines pulled from university email (when connected)

Proactive suggestions

WOODS always tries to show at least three actionable suggestions. If your context is sparse, fallback chips still guide you (upload, focus, chat). Suggestions adapt to:

  • Modules in progress
  • Tasks due this week
  • Time of day and day of week
  • Emotional check-in patterns

Morning context

On first load, WOODS may fetch morning context — a short briefing on today’s priorities. This has a timeout so a slow API does not block the dashboard.
